Succulent Ring #5 - live casting

How is live casting done? A mold is made using organic material encased in a substance similar to Plaster of Paris (investment).  The organic material is burned out in a kiln, leaving a perfect imprint behind. Thanks to Mother Nature, no two casts are alike.

If one-of-a-kind is important to you, than a live cast succulent ring is the perfect choice!  This series of rings are made with 925 sterling silver - the succulents are solid specimens. The perfectly marked, rustic bands are equally as interesting as the succulents they hold!

This ring doesn't have a blackened patina, it has been kept natural silver.
